Streatham is located in south London and is just 5 miles from the centre of the city. It is a mainly residential area and although it doesn’t have any of the top sights and attractions, it’s still a pleasant place to stay and explore. Streatham is home to London’s longest high street which is busy and vibrant and is just under 2 miles long! This is the place to come if you are looking for shops, boutiques and bars. As this part of London is fast becoming a foodie paradise, you will also find plenty of restaurants offering an extensive range of cuisines. If it’s entertainment you're after, head to the top of the high street and visit the Hideaway jazz club for live music and stand-up comedy. Streatham isn’t short of green open space either with Streatham Common and Tooting Common enabling you to relax away from the hustle and bustle. Although the area, like many south London districts, doesn’t have an underground station, it is still well connected to the rest of the city. Streatham Hill Station has trains to Victoria in just under 20 minutes while Streatham Station has services to London Bridge and St Pancras in around 30 minutes.
