Charlton is nestled between Greenwich and Woolwich in the south-east of London. This leafy suburb is home to Charlton Athletic Football Stadium which attracts thousands of supporters to the area on match days. Charlton seems to have no trouble catering for this huge influx of visitors with its good selection of pubs, bars, restaurants and hotels. It’s a relatively vibrant area however you won’t find a great deal of tourist attractions here or much in the way of entertainment. But due to its excellent location, you don’t have to travel too far to find things to do. Central London is just a 22-minute over ground rail journey away taking you direct to London Bridge. The Greenwich Peninsula is just 2 miles away, home to the O2 Arena which hosts concerts from the world’s top stars and elite sporting events. Charlton is also fairly close to Canary Wharf where you can immerse yourself in its abundance of bars, restaurants, shops and entertainment venues.
