This quiet borough sits on the border with Kent and is one of the greenest parts of the capital with over 100 parks as well as an appealing walking route along the river Thames. Although it doesn’t quite have the cultural pull of neighbouring Greenwich, Bexley does offer some artistic activities including two good theatres, the Edward Alderton Theatre and the Geoffrey Whitworth Theatre. Both showcase some excellent productions throughout the year. It’s safe to say that you won’t find any top attractions here but that really is what makes this area so appealing to many visitors and residents alike. And with the hubbub of central London just a 30 minute train journey away, Bexley has the best of both worlds.
