Situated on the edge of the Hertfordshire countryside, Barnet is a charming north London spot. It offers an air of escapism complemented by convenient travel links to central London via the many tube stations operating on the northern line. It is one of the city’s largest boroughs and has a 200-strong collection of parks, nature reserves and open spaces. Barnet really is the place to be if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of more central areas. That said, it does still have its fair share of pubs, restaurants and shops for your convenience. You’ll be able to experience cuisines from around the globe here and as for some retail therapy, Brent Cross shopping centre is in the borough offering over 120 shops! Attractions wise, you won’t find a great deal here, you’ll have to go further into the city for that, but Barnet is home to an RAF Museum in Hendon. Visitors can gaze at over 70 full-sized aircraft as well as a flight simulator and with free admission, it’s well worth a visit.
