The University of Westminster was founded in 1838 and was Britain’s first Royal Polytechnic. It is a vibrant, international education institution in the heart of London spread over four campuses with approximately 20,000 students from 150 countries worldwide. The university is an educational leader in numerous fields including law, business, science and technology, media, arts and design, social sciences and humanities, and architecture. It’s also had its fair share of famous students over the years with fashion designer Vivienne Westwood and Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters amongst its alumni. If you are here visiting friends, family or in a professional capacity, you’ll find its three central campuses are just a short distance from some of the city’s top landmarks. These include the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Tate Modern and the British Library. And with tube stations near all of its central locations, exploring the capital further is easy and convenient.
