Formerly known as St James Theatre, The Other Palace is one of the latest additions to London’s theatre scene. Opening its doors in 2012, it was the first theatre to be built in the capital for some 30 years and was designed to meet the need for a venue in the district that could house smaller, more off-Broadway-scaled productions. It prides itself on being a relaxed theatre where musicals can develop without pressure and with the help of audience feedback. Its 312-seat main performance space shows full-bodied productions that are complete or works in progress. Meanwhile, the smaller 120-seat studio offers up a diverse programme including cabaret, music, musical theatre and comedy. With such an eclectic line-up, it offers a great day or night out with a difference in an intimate setting.
