The Royal Brompton Hospital, located in Chelsea, is the largest specialist heart and lung medical centre in the UK. The hospital carries out some of the most complicated heart and lung procedures and surgeries available anywhere in the world and has over 170 years of experience under its belt! It has approximately 350 beds which are used for surgery, intensive care, respiratory, cardiology, paediatric, and paediatric intensive care patients. The hospital is also known as Europe’s largest centre for treatment and management of cystic fibrosis, and the largest adult congenital heart disease unit.
