Set atop a hill in the iconic landscape of Greenwich Royal Park is the Peter Harrison Planetarium. Opening in 2007 it is a beautiful cone-shaped addition to the Royal Observatory. Here visitors can take their seats within London’s only planetarium where they will be led on a journey to the stars and beyond; fly to the heart of the sun, be transported to distant galaxies, see the birth of a star or even land on Mars! Daily shows run by real astronomers take place on pretty much an hourly basis. The venue is also perfect for hosting corporate events and private parties. Whilst in this area there are several other attractions that are also well worth a visit including the Cutty Sark, Queen’s House and the Prime Meridian Line. All of which are just a short walk from the planetarium.
