The Peacock Theatre is a West End Theatre and is one of London’s most prolific venues for small and touring productions. The 999-seat house is a major force on the national and international dance scene, with an innovative programme from the famous Sadler’s Wells. The theatre became the company’s base from 1996 to 1998 and since that time has been a shining star in the Sadler’s Wells sphere. The repertoire here is always diverse and dynamic with electrifying dance and movement shows, stunning operas, and musical productions. Families have also flocked here at Christmas time since 1998 to see the stage transformed into a magical winter wonderland in The Snowman. The venue is currently owned by and comprises part of the London School of Economics and Political Science campus, who utilise the theatre for lectures, public talks, conferences and political speeches during the day. Its excellent location means it is just minutes from some great attractions such as the London Transport Museum, Somerset House and the Royal Courts of Justice. All of which are well worth a visit before or after the show.
