Looking for hotels near Novello Theatre?

Situated on Aldwych in the City of Westminster, the Novello Theatre is housed in an immaculate Grade ll listed building. Dating back to 1905 when it first opened as The Waldorf Theatre, it has a long history of staging musical productions. Some of its most notable have included Rhinoceros starring Laurence Olivier and Maggie Smith, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, and in recent years it has been the home of the world-famous ABBA musical, Mamma Mia! But despite being known as a venue for musicals, the theatre has also played host to various other shows over the years ranging from numerous plays by the Royal Shakespeare Company to the illusionist performances of Derren Brown. It is a relatively intimate venue with just over 1,000 seats many of which are in the stalls giving most theatregoers an up close and personal experience. The Novello’s superb location puts it just minutes from the fabulous shops of the Strand and the beautiful Embankment. It is also within walking distance of Temple, Covent Garden, and Holborn tube stations.
