From show-stopping musicals to novel adaptations, to conceptual pieces, The Gillian Lynne Theatre (formerly the New London Theatre), has played host to iconic theatre productions over its relatively short history. Opening in 1973, the theatre has housed some of London’s most esteemed shows and is best known for hosting Cats for an extensive 21 years! The smash hits Greece and War Horse have also called it home. It’s no surprise, therefore, that talent including Richard Gere, Bruce Forsyth and Bonnie Langford have all appeared on its stage over the years. Situated in bustling Coven Garden, on the corner of the famous Drury Lane, the theatre is close to plenty of restaurants, cafes and boutique shops, and is within walking distance of Oxford Street.
