Tucked away on the banks of Regents Canal, this cosy theatre has been hosting theatre and comedy since 1979. The jewel in its crown has to be the Guinness World Record breaking NewsRevue which pokes fun at the week’s headlines pretty much all year round! But you don’t have to be a newshound to enjoy the Canal Café Theatre’s line-up: it also puts on new plays, cabaret, and stand-up nights in its 60-seater venue above the Bridge House pub and hosts over 14 shows per week. Over the years it has become one of London’s leading fringe theatre venues with an award-winning reputation for comedy and increasingly new writing. The theatre is located just three minutes from Warwick Avenue Underground Station and a short walk from some of the capital’s top attractions. Before or after the show why not take a stroll to nearby Portobello Road Market, Kensington Palace of the Serpentine Gallery. All of which are within a 20-minute walk.
