Snaking up a hill just north of Ladbroke Grove and Notting Hill, Kensal Green has plenty of west London charm. It is without doubt a hip and happening area with an eclectic mix of independent shops and an excellent selection of cafes, bars and restaurants. Queen's Park is just a stone's throw away if you wanted to escape the hustle and bustle. With 12 hectares of green space, a cafe, paddling area and tennis courts, you can certainly while away the hours here. It is often said that a trip to the area isn't complete without a visit to Kensal Green Cemetery. Maybe not on everybody's list of must-see-sights in London but there are several famous graves there so possibly worth a wander?!
