The Piccadilly Theatre is a 1,232-seat West End theatre located at 16 Denman Street, behind bustling Piccadilly Circus. It made a spectacular entrance into ‘Theatreland’ in 1928, with its brochure claiming that “if all the bricks used in the building were laid in a straight line, they would stretch from London to Paris” which is probably true given that this is, in fact, the largest theatre on the West End! Musicals are usually the order of the day here and during its 90-year history, its seen its fair share. Renowned for hosting some of London’s most famous productions past smash-hits have included Dirty Dancing, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Jersey Boys to name but a few. A visit here really is the crème de la crème of theatre experiences. There is also plenty of other attractions and hotspots to see before or after the show such as the markets of Covent Garden, The Ritz London hotel and the vast greenery of Hyde Park, all within walking distance. You’ll also be spoilt for choice when it comes to eating, with restaurants and bars crowding the local streets.
