Since opening its doors in 1849, Harrods has become one of the world's largest and most famous department stores. To this day it remains at the height of British luxury retail, attracting millions of loyal customers from across the globe. With its seven floors, 330 departments and 28 restaurants, you could easily while away the day here soaking-up the opulent atmosphere. If you do happen to find yourself with any spare time why not visit more of the area’s top attractions. There is an abundance of museums and galleries nearby. These include the V&A Museum, Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Saatchi Gallery and the Serpentine Gallery, all within a 15-minute walk. Buckingham Palace and Westminster Cathedral are not much further on foot. If you would rather catch the tube you’ll be pleased to know that there are three tube stations close-by, Knightsbridge being the nearest with South Kensington and Sloane Square just a short distance away.
