Located between the idle pleasures of the West End and the spectacular wealth of the City, Holborn has a little bit of everything. It's got great shopping, it's close to several of the West Ends biggest theatres and it's not short of places to eat. The area is also steeped in history and packed with remarkable buildings, inspiring museums and world-famous streets. There’s also something very Victorian about the area and while the carriages have gone, many of the characterful pubs have stayed so it's easy to find yourself on a street that feels like it's been untouched for hundreds of years! As if all of this wasn't a good enough reason to visit, it also has the iconic British Museum on its doorstep and is home to the famous Hatton Garden jewellery district. To the south of the region, the curve of the Victoria Embankment is a good place to get a panoramic view of London.
