Beckton is a quiet part of east London just north of the river Thames. Although largely residential, the area still offers a generous helping of shops and restaurants. However, it’s safe to say that you won’t find any top tourist attractions here or much in the way of entertainment but as Beckton is served by no less than 5 DLR (Docklands Light Railway) stations, the buzz of the city is never far away. A short journey on the DLR will take you to Canary Wharf where you can enjoy over 200 shops, waterside bars and restaurants. Further journeys along the railway allow for easy access to many of the capitals best sights including Tower Bridge, The Tower of London and Cutty Sark. London City Airport is also within close proximity to Beckton meaning you will have quick and easy access from your accommodation if you have a flight to catch.
