In the heart of London’s West End lies the historic Lyric Theatre, home to a wealth of iconic musicals, plays and operas since its opening way back in 1888. It takes the crown as being the oldest surviving theatre on the famous Shaftesbury Avenue with its exquisite 18th century building. However, despite the diversity of shows and its prime location, this medium-sized theatre seats only 915 people, which is relatively modest for a West End venue.
